Welcome to my site. I am interested in Effects Animation, Fine Art, Film and Motion Graphics.

Hello, My name is Michael Olivares, some people know me as Miguel or Migellan. I am interested in the future while avidly participating in the present moment. My particular career focus is Effects Animation. When I am not creating still or moving art, I am raising quails, working on motorcycles, or gardening.
I have attended The Ryman Program, CSSSA, L.A. County High School for the Arts, Cal Arts, Otis, La Escuela de Belles Artes de Sevilla, and Trinity College before finaly graduating from Art Center College of Design. This site showcases various samples of the Art and Animation that I do. Enjoy!
Feel free to contact me about any projects or freelance work, there is no project too big or small. I work with a small team of multi-talented Designers that would love to dive into any challenge from pre-vis on a music video all the way through to final post and interactive design on a web film series.

These are samples of the animation I do. I see fantastical stories all around me and sometimes work them into an animation or motionagraphical piece.

I use After Effects, Toon Boom, Final Cut, Maya, and ocassionally Shake. And of-course good 'ol Photoshop and Illustrator seem to be utilized for something along the way.

I created this short "sting" piece with my scanner, Photoshop and After Effects, to be used on the Talk Market website.
This funny mexican soap opera parody was shot and edited by me for "Cemitas and Clayudas" Restaurant. I also created the Motion Graphics. Several more can be seen Here.
I created the FX and Motion Graphics for this Music Video for Angel City Outcasts. Directed by Sammy Wong 2010.
This is a clip from an abstract motionographical video I made and projected for an exhibition of new fine art at Avenue 50 Gallery.
